What this is
AuxArena is a free music-club project run by Tomas Stropus. You make or join a club, share songs around a theme, and listen and vote together. Clubs can also publish playlists. By using AuxArena you agree to these terms. Questions or feedback? Write to [email protected].
Your account
You must be at least 16 to use AuxArena. Keep your password and any linked sign-in account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has got in. Use your account for yourself, not to impersonate someone or give yourself extra votes.
Clubs and other people
Club owners and managers set themes, deadlines and house rules, invite people and moderate their clubs within the app's privacy rules. Please respect those rules and the other members. If there's a problem, you can speak to a manager or come straight to us.
Don't harass people, share illegal content, attack the service or try to get around a club's privacy settings. We prefer to talk things through, but may remove content or suspend accounts to protect members or the service.
Your songs and your words
You keep any rights you have in your words and pictures. You give us permission to store and display them as needed to run AuxArena, following the sharing rules described in our privacy policy. That permission isn't a licence to sell your content or use it for unrelated purposes.
Choosing a song doesn't give you or us ownership of the music. Share lawful listening links, and only upload pictures or text you have permission to share. Don't post someone else's private information. If you think something infringes your rights, email us with the link and an explanation.
Listening links and other services
Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube have their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control them, and a link that works today might not work tomorrow. You don't connect your music account to AuxArena. When a club enables playlist publishing, our bot account handles it. Published playlists can be visible outside AuxArena; archiving a club doesn't automatically remove them.
What you can expect from us
We run AuxArena carefully, but it's a small project: it may go down, change, or lose a feature. We don't promise uninterrupted service, and we can't promise that every link, playlist or provider will always work. We'll do our best to fix things quickly and to give notice when we can.
Ending things
You can stop using AuxArena whenever you like. Account settings lets you delete your account either after a 30-day grace period you can cancel, or immediately; erasure archives the clubs you own and keeps shared club history without your account attached, as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other members, or puts the service at risk. If we do, we'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety says otherwise.
Liability
Where the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses or interruptions caused by third-party services. Nothing here takes away mandatory consumer rights or excludes liability that the law doesn't let us exclude, including for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. For substantial changes, we'll post a notice on the site before they take effect, unless an urgent legal or security issue means we need to act sooner. Where the law requires your agreement, we'll ask for it.
Law and disagreements
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live elsewhere, you still have any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, including rights about which courts you can use. Otherwise, disputes can be brought before the competent courts of the Netherlands. You can always email us to try to resolve a problem, but you don't have to do that before using your legal rights.
